My name is Jody and I am proud to be the Centre Manager at Harmony Corinda. I have been in the Early Childhood Sector for more than 15 years. I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, along with a Diploma of Children’s Services. I am passionate about education for all ages. I believe we never stop learning and for this reason, I constantly find myself doing short courses, professional development and further study all the time.
Early Childhood education provides our future generations with the necessary tools to become lifelong learners. I believe if we make learning fun and exciting in the younger years, children will quickly develop a yearning for investigating and researching and learning further for themselves. When children want to learn, they are predisposed to be successful.
Harmony Corinda is a fabulous learning environment. The environment can become the extra teacher and in the case of our beautiful centre, it certainly has done that! The staff at Harmony Corinda are caring, nurturing and genuinely passionate about early childhood education, this ensures the children are offered the best opportunities to become lifelong learners and develop the love of learning.
Dislikes: My biggest dislike is dishonesty. I believe everything can be solved if people are honest with each other. I am a bit particular with some foods, like avocado and mushrooms, I generally do not buy these for my family because I don’t like to prepare or eat them myself.
- I love working with young children. I love to mentor others, so they can achieve their best, whatever their best may be.
- I am a passionate AFL supporter.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child.
