Centre Director Hope Island
Hi, I’m Jasmine Facey
Let me introduce myself…
My name is Jasmine, I am Mum to two wonderful, active, crazy boys. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in early childhood education. As a young girl I was the resident babysitter and as a teen I completed a school-based traineeship in children’s services. My career in the early childhood sector started there and I have continued to grow and learn for the last 21 years. For the last 12 years I was at a centre on the northern Gold Coast where I was lucky enough to form some long lasting relationships with children and their families.
Why I’m passionate about early childhood education?
I am passionate about collaborating with families, educators, children and the community to provide children with a safe, nurturing and welcoming learning environment. I believe all children are individuals and have their own way of discovering the world around them. I hope to provide inviting and warm spaces that inspires inquiry-based learning and provides children with a valuable start in life and build foundations for a good education.
What I love about Harmony Hope Island?
I have a vision for Harmony Early Learning Journey Hope Island to be a home away from home. For our families to feel a part of our Harmony community. I hope to form strong alliances and long-lasting relationships with the children and their families, and to offer an inclusive education environment with a focus on high quality care and open communication.
