Centre Director West Burleigh

Hi, my name is Briony Walters

Let me introduce myself…

I’m the Centre Director of Harmony West Burleigh and proud mother of three beautiful daughters.  Our family includes a menagerie of pets including an energetic Golden Retriever, two curious cats, Squirtle the Turtle, Sir Hops A Lot the frog, and not to forget the 3 Ninja turtles that keep us company at our Centre.

I have been engaged in the early childhood education sector for over 25 years and have attained a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in children’s services, and most recently, and Advanced Diploma in community sector management.

Why I’m passionate about early learning?

My passion lies in individualized learning, ensuring that each child and family achieves their developmental goals. I am dedicated to making a positive difference, supporting our educators, and fostering the next leaders within the industry.

What I love about Harmony West Burleigh?

Our centre is my pride and joy. I am committed to delivering sector-leading programs and services by fostering close relationships with families and the wider community. I believe in preparing children for their school transition through engaging programs, a safe environment, and the opportunity to explore and grow. It’s a pleasure to see each child embark on their journey, achieving their aspirations with our support.

A few of my favourite things

When I’m not at work, I enjoy deep sea fishing trips, spending quality time with my family, indulging in Disney sing-alongs, gardening, and volunteering to support the homeless and local churches. I love to travel, explore new cultures, and embrace challenges and empowerment.
