Centre Director Bangalow

Hi, my name is Nicole.

Let me introduce myself…

Originally from Melbourne, I began my early childhood career in 1996 after completing my Diploma of Community Services. I worked in a range of early childhood settings while studying my Bachelor of Early Childhood. I then spent 7 years working at a community centre where my passion for working with children truly evolved. I gained valuable experience working with babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers as well as 3 years in the Centre Director role.

After quite a few years travelling to Byron Bay for Blues fest and Splendour in the Grass, I finally made a sea change in 2006 and moved to Byron Bay.

I took a break from Early Childhood Teaching and worked in retail. During this time I started my own family and have two beautiful daughters. When my youngest started school an amazing opportunity came my way. I started working at Harmony Lennox Head when the Centre opened in January 2020. Having worked there for the past 2 years I am so excited for my new role at Harmony Bangalow

Why I’m passionate about early childhood education?

We have such an important job working with children in the early years as we support the foundation for their future journey. Our work with children sets them on a path toward lifelong success and can encourage and nurture caring and capable future adults contributing to our society. Therefore it is crucial we as early childhood educators provide high quality care where children feel safe, secure and supported in their learning environment.

What I love about Harmony Bangalow?

Having worked at Harmony Lennox for the past 2 years, I have really enjoyed my time teaching in such a beautiful setting.  The Harmony learning environment is a calm and inviting play space that allows children to feel safe and secure and encourages them to become confident and active learners.  I am so excited to take this next step in my career at our new centre opening in Bangalow.
