Centre Director Lennox Head

Hi, I’m Vicki King

Let me introduce myself…

I have been working in the Early Childhood industry since 1989. During that time, I have been fortunate to work across the field from Assistant Educator, Special Needs Assistant, Room Leader, Behaviour Management Advisor for Education Queensland, to Director within the Community Preschool sector and now Centre Manager of Harmony Lennox Head.

Why I’m passionate about early childhood education?

My motto is to, be the change we want to see. I believe as an adult we have this moment to embrace and nurture children to be their best selves. By being present, loving, and attentive to our children, surely it will help to shape and guide their development in a positive way. If we can meet children’s needs whilst modelling kindness and compassion, I believe that together we are helping to create strong, heartfelt, and confident adults. Our children are our future.

What I love about Harmony Lennox Head?

The team! When I first came to Harmony Lennox Head, I was welcomed behind the scenes and on the floor. I was greeted with warm and welcoming hearts. I could see the enthusiasm and passion, that is Harmony! I feel this is my home and I embrace what is to come. Positive growth and unity is the key to creating and continuing healthy relationships within our team.

A few of my favourite things

  • Favourite colours – Red is my favourite colour! ?
  • Favourite animal and why? Cows are my favourite animal. They have loving eyes and take their time in life.
  • What I find funny? Craig d’Arcy, our Educational Leader! He has the best Dad Jokes!

What are my likes and dislikes?

  • being unkind
  • marzipan
  • lemon in cakes
