A leading contemporary early childhood education and care provider has officially opened a new early education centre based in East Brisbane.
Opening Monday 14 August with an incredible pre-enrolment status, Harmony Early Learning Journey’s newest centre is located on the corner of Vulture and Edgar Street, only two blocks from the Brisbane Cricket Ground.
Harmony CEO Laurie Begni says the new centre represents a significant step forward in organisation’s mission to deliver remarkable educational experiences for young learners.
“We are excited to see our vision of providing exceptional and holistic educational opportunities become a reality in East Brisbane,” says Mr Begni.
“Beyond our evidence-based curriculum, we have a team of highly qualified educators eager to provide a nurturing environment that inspires and motivates future generations.”
The expansion will see Harmony operating 15 centres across Queensland and northern New South Wales with a further three due to open in early 2024.
Mr Begni says the interest and pre-enrolment status on the East Brisbane site has been quite significant, with the uptake exceeding expectations.
“This new centre is opening with over 80 percent of enrolments being filled, so there is still availability, but I would encourage families to make inquiries promptly,” he says.
“The surge in enrolment has been swift and significant, reflecting the strength of the Harmony brand and need for quality early education in the community and surrounding areas.
“We continue to refine our proprietary process and engage early with the local community we are working in to meet the demand for our services.”
Mr Begni says the changes to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) that came into effect at the beginning of the financial year has positively impacted childcare affordability.
“Location and availability are the primary drivers for parents choosing a centre for their child, but the changes to the CCS have helped to broaden our customer base,” he says.
Located at 557-559 Vulture Street, East Brisbane, the new centre will cater for up to 99 children aged birth to five years old.
Harmony Early Learning Journey currently operates 15 early learning centres across Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales with a further 3 sites in development. Inspiring beautiful minds with beautiful environments, Harmony ELJ’s foundation is built on ensuring every child receives the best care and education possible in a safe, calm, fun and inclusive learning setting.
