At Harmony Early Education, we have integrated physical literacy as a core component of our curriculum, focusing on developing children’s movement skills, confidence, and overall physical well-being through engaging and purposeful activities.
PHYSICAL LITERACY IN Curriculum
We embed physical literacy into every day at Harmony. Either via short transition sessions which happen daily, or longer dedicated movement sessions focused on building physical and other skills via engaging play-based activities.
Physically literacy is about so much more than ‘being active’ and ‘fit’. A physically literate child has the movement skills, motivation and confidence to seek out and enjoy a physically active lifestyle now and in the future.
By fostering physical competence, body awareness, and social interaction, we encourage a lifelong love of movement and promote overall health and well-being. Our holistic approach integrates cognitive, emotional, and physical growth, creating inclusive environments where children thrive through play-based learning.
